HeSuVi System Requirements
Every spec that matters: OS, CPU, RAM, disk, audio hardware — and the one requirement that surprises people.
The Requirement That Surprises People
HeSuVi itself runs on anything — but it needs a 7.1-capable playback device to feed it multi-channel audio. Most onboard sound (Realtek) only exposes stereo. The free fix is VB-Cable as a virtual 7.1 device (see setup guide). If your sound card or DAC already offers 7.1 in Windows Sound settings, you can skip VB-Cable entirely.
Windows 11 Notes
- Works natively on Windows 10 and 11 — no compatibility mode needed.
- Turn system-wide spatial sound OFF (right-click speaker icon → Spatial sound → Off) — never stack two spatializers.
- After major Windows updates, the APO can detach — re-run the Equalizer APO Configurator (see Windows 11 guide).
What Is NOT Required
- No account, no internet — HeSuVi works fully offline.
- No gaming headset — any stereo headphones work; open-backs image best.
- No powerful PC — convolution runs inside the audio engine at negligible CPU cost.
The Bottom Line
Any Windows 10/11 PC from the last decade can run HeSuVi. The only real requirement is a 7.1-capable audio path — native or via free VB-Cable. Everything else (CPU, RAM, disk) is trivial.
