How to Uninstall HeSuVi (Complete Removal)
Removing HeSuVi cleanly takes two steps — the app and the APO driver. Here is how to do both without leftover audio issues.
Step 1: Uninstall HeSuVi
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- Find HeSuVi, click Uninstall, and follow the wizard.
- Delete the leftover config folder if present: C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config\HeSuVi (only if you are also removing Equalizer APO).
This removes the HeSuVi interface and its HRIR library. Your audio will fall back to plain Equalizer APO (if kept) or default Windows audio.
Step 2: Uninstall Equalizer APO (Optional)
HeSuVi cannot function without Equalizer APO, but APO is also used by other tools (like Peace). If you want everything gone:
- In Settings → Apps, uninstall Equalizer APO.
- Reboot — mandatory, the driver only unloads at startup.
- After reboot, open Sound settings and confirm your headphones show normal stereo options again.
Restore Default Audio
- Set Windows spatial sound back to Off (or Windows Sonic if you prefer).
- In the speaker configuration wizard, set your headphones back to Stereo.
- If a device still misbehaves, reinstall its manufacturer audio driver.
Troubleshooting Leftovers
- No sound after uninstall? Reboot once more — the APO chain only fully clears at startup.
- HeSuVi entry still in Start menu? Delete the shortcut manually from the Start Menu Programs folder.
- Want to reinstall later? Your exported HeSuVi profiles survive in the config folder — back it up before deleting.
Final Verdict
HeSuVi uninstalls cleanly in two steps: remove the HeSuVi app, then Equalizer APO if you are done with APO-based tools entirely. Always reboot after removing the APO driver, and reset your speaker configuration to Stereo. Your exported profiles survive in the config folder if you want to come back.

No — they are separate installs. Uninstall each from Settings → Apps if you want both gone.

No, as long as you reboot after removing Equalizer APO so the driver unloads cleanly.
How do I reinstall HeSuVi later?
Just run the installer again from our download page — your saved profiles in the config folder are preserved if you did not delete them.
